Nurture Farm
Our Nurture Farm is no ordinary farm – it reimagines wellbeing through the healing power of nature, connection, and belonging.
Here, young people can truly be themselves. In small, caring groups, they spend time outdoors, connect with our animals, and build relationships with each other. Hands-on, nature-based experiences nurture confidence, resilience, and self-awareness, helping young people feel valued, connected, and supported. They develop emotional strength, rediscover joy, and find ‘a place to be me’.
Who we support
We support young people aged 5–12 who may be experiencing:
- Challenges with emotional wellbeing
- School-related, social, or general anxiety
- Difficulties with self-esteem, withdrawal, or burnout
- The impact of trauma or care experience
- Family challenges, such as bereavement, separation, illness, or caring responsibilities
What we offer
- Small, nurturing groups where every young person is seen, heard, and supported as an individual.
- Nature-based healing, including time outdoors, animal care, and meaningful activities that foster confidence, resilience, connection, and joy.
- Skilled guidance from our team, who gently earn each young person’s trust while nurturing their resilience and emotional wellbeing.
- Family support through a listening ear, peer-to-peer support, signposting or referrals to other services.
Charity-funded placements
We offer free support through our charity for young people facing emotional challenges, who do not have other support in place (such as an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)), through our:
- Nurture Groups: Alternative Provision (AP) for one day each week, for 24 weeks. Referrals are welcome from schools, social care services, charities, parents, or carers. Where a young person is on school roll, commissioning is via their school.
- Nurture Boost Programme: A six-week programme for partner schools, offering six full days at the Nurture Farm for six young people facing emotional challenges. A member of school staff accompanies the group to help transition their learning back into school.
Funded placements
As an AP framework supplier to Surrey County Council, we accept a small number of referrals for young people with an EHCP or EOTAS package seeking emotional wellbeing support, where we can meet their needs. Places are funded by the young person’s school or Local Authority.
We also offer flexi-school AP for young people with emotional needs who have no other support in place and who have already attended our Nurture Farm for two terms on a charity-funded placement. Flexi-school AP places are commissioned and funded by the young person’s school,
In all cases, we work closely with schools to support each young person’s reintegration into full-time education, wherever possible.
