Huckleberries Nurture Farm
—Staff and Volunteers—
Huckleberries provides a safe ‘place to be me’ where children feel they belong, can be themselves, and learn to love who they are. Our leaders, practitioners, and community volunteers bring a wealth of experience and expertise in working and volunteering with children and young people.
Our trauma-informed child-centered practice is embedded into our culture and ethos, to support and assist healing and growth. We also interweave mindfulness and nature immersion into our work to promote childrens’ connectedness with themselves, their surroundings, and each other.
Our Trustees, staff and volunteers hold the safeguarding of children and young people at the heart of all that we do. Our whole team are DBS checked, trainined in safeguarding and child protection as a minimum, and every session has at least one paediatric and outdoor education first aider present.
